Our History

La Maison De La Sauce is before anything, the story of a family.

In 2004, Julien and his family move to the south of France, for a new life project. Juliens’ father who has always worked in large Parisian style Brasseries decides to throw himself a new challenge by taking over a traditional restaurant in Beaulieu sur Mer, La Pignatelle.

After many years working as a team with his father, Julien decides to go it alone and take over the reins of the restaurant.
This brings us to 2020 and the birth of La Maison De La Sauce, a modernised version of the previous concept. Sided by his Chef and friend from Nice, he is proud to put forward a fresh cuisine, playing with the seasonalities.

In 2018 Julien meets George, their love for the industry and like mindedness naturally brought them to partner up together.
It is in 2022 that they throw themselves into this new wonderful adventure.

Their bet is a success as since, La Maison de la Sauce has gone through a very positive increase in client experience and is today of the restaurants in Beaulieu sur Mer and its surroundings which you must not pass by without experiencing!

THE DUO AT THE HELM

Julien

After a childhood spent in Normandy, Julien moved to the Cote D’azur with his family. He was just 12 years old when his father took over La Pignatelle where he spent all his free time and straight away grew a love and passion for the gastronomy and the hospitality industry.

At an older age, alongside his studies in communication, he continues his evolution at the heart of the restaurant and perfects himself in many fields such as; clientele relations, the art of table settings, management and of course the cuisine.

Following this he heads off for a year in Australia and betters himself in a variety of international groups and perfects his English as well as the general hospitality industry.

George

Born in London and of British origin, he grew up on the Cote D’azur since the age of 3. He travelled a lot all over the world and grew a passion by the Food and Beverage domain. He wastes no time in starting his career in a London based restaurant. Following this he decides to move down to Monaco to grow his experience and knowledge during 7 years in a handful of prestigious establishments. This allowed him to widen his knowledge regarding a variety of different cuisines (Japanese, modern Italian and classic traditional French)

He joins Julien in 2018, their common interests and passion rapidly creates a very strong synergy between the two. They decide to join each other and team up as associates with this amazing project of La Maison De La Sauce.

I consider that cuisine is an art. The passing on of a message, an emotion, a feeling. You must know to pay particular attention to the produce, to value their authenticity and in a discreet fashion you must play between the classic traditional side as well as the daring side to offer unique dishes. The client must be charmed and blown away
